William IV quality metamorphic mahogany side table / three tier dumbwaiter c1835. An unusual and ingenious side or wine table that transforms into a three-tier dumbwaiter. Circular solid mahogany tops with molded edge details on the middle and lower tops that nest together when lowered. The shelves are supported by a center column of laminated wood that ends in a turned, tulip-carved base. The central column houses the cable mechanism for raising and lowering the levels. Raised on a triform base with bunk feet and hidden brass wheels. Request a video of how it converts from coffee table to dumbwaiter and vice versa. The table has a diameter of 56.5 cm and a height of 76 cm when closed (102 cm when fully raised).
