Small decorative buffet in veneer wood, Louis XV / Louis XVI transition style, in 2 bodies.
It consists in the upper part of a cardboard, with 2 rows of 3 small drawers, with draw buttons and leather facades lined with golden friezes.
It is adorned at its top with a bronze decor representing 2 cherubs. Below, it is provided with a clock with black and golden background, equipped with its original mechanism. It is surrounded on both sides of a green tinted wooden marquetry, a color that is also found below the dial, in a marquetry with geometric shapes of various tones. A rectangular mirror, set back, completes this 1st body of this buffet.
The top of the lower part of this piece of furniture offers a marquetry made up of 4 rectangles framed with a thin border. This 2nd body opens on a belt by a drawer, embellished with a marked decor recalling that of the upper part. It is decorated with draw handles and a brass lock. This is in working order and is provided with its key. Under this drawer there is a tablet, covered with a leather room framed with subtle flower decorations. It opens with 2 draw handles. Finally, the last part of this 2nd body offers 2 storage shelves, respectively 28.5 and 28 cm high and closing by 2 doors, one equipped with a lock, the other with a metal clasp at the bottom. The facades of these doors are adorned with marquetry representing checkers.
Alongside its sides, tinted wooden marquets enjolivate this buffet, while in its angles and at the bottom, they are bronze falls. Finally, brass baguettes marry the contours of the bottom of the furniture and bronze hooves adorned its feet before.
The back of the furniture and the drawers are made of oak.
