Vintage Design
This is an eye-catching wooden coffee table designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara, manufactured by Laukaan Puu in Finland around 1950. It is made of high quality pine wood in a beautiful warm brown colour. The thick base consists of two sturdy rectangular legs, holding the three slats that create the top. The strong, rustic materials combine really nicely with the he minimalist design of this piece and creates a unique modern style that is typical for the work of Tapiovaara. It remains in good, original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a wonderful patina.
