“Table Aux Muses d’Après Riesener ” Exceptional table aux Muses after a model of jean Henri Riesener. This one is of a manufacture of the first half of the XX century. Originally this table was delivered in 1771 by Riesener to Mr. de Fontanieu who was the general steward of the furniture of the crown. The legend says that it was also the table of Marie Antoinette, moreover in the last century the Empress Eugenie added it to the furniture of the Petit Trianon in memory of her. An exceptional cabinet making for this table with a mixture of native woods (boxwood, lemon tree, sycamore, satinwood, rosewood, mahogany, rosewood). An ornamentation of chiseled and gilded bronzes comes to decorate the belt and the base. This table has a drawer in front. A rare piece of furniture on the market. We find this table at the Hotel de la Marine in Paris. DIMENSIONS: 1.15M X 0.67M AND 0.78M height
