Vintage Design
Wonderful and large Danish Modern wingback chair hand made by a cabinetmaker in Denmark in the 1950s. Great dramatic angles and proportions with carved wooden armrests and legs made of solid oak showing great grain and patina. The armrests are beautifully sculpted and the original Olmerdug wool upholstery fitted with brass nails and woven piper is in amazing condition. The chair even retains its original elegant counterweight pillow. This model is a well known design, but the original maker of the chair is yet to be discovered. In the style of Henning Kjærnulf.
