Dorothee Becker, born in 1938 in Aschaffenburg, Germany, studied languages at the universities of Frankfurt and Munich, before staying in London and Paris and to settle in California in 1960. She returned to Germany with her husband Ingo Maurer, Successfully markets until 1989 Uten.silo which welcomes practical and well -designed everyday objects, and continues to create until today.
