Brutalist Oil on canvas by Alan Ian Ronald, a Scottish artist who’s pieces have come up at auction multiple times.
He was a well listed artist, who excibited in galleries and major Scottish and British institutions.
Ronald studied at the Edinburgh College of Art before serving in the First World War, with the Royal Scottish Fusiliers in France, where this piece was sourced.
Since 2010 the record price for this artist at auction is 6,139 USD for Conception of a Fifeshire Neuk, sold at Bonhams Edinburgh in 2010.
