Vintage Design
Sumptuous showcase attributed to the famous French creator Jules Leleu (1883 – 1961).
In the upper part, this piece of furniture has a window with two sliding glass doors, embellished with tabs on each side. The interior is made up of two tablets, also in glass, adjustable on three points. The bottom and the rear are dressed in mirrors.
In the lower part, we find two hectic doors framing a high domed drawer. The set presents on the facade a marquetry made up of a frame of two lemon, movement nets, and a large diamond with purple wood, encrusted with a plant composition of flowers and foliage.
The doors have original locks and keys in perfect working order.
At the opening, we discover an interior fitted with two tablets whose song is marked.
Two large attached columns form the amounts of this unique piece of furniture. They are embellished in the upper part of three protruding rings and a circular bronze element on the top.
The perimeter of this piece of furniture is a slightly molded frame beveled inwards. Note that the low crossing is also hectic and embellished with a molding going around the furniture.
The front feet are dressed on the facade of an adjusted bronze element.
with its precious wood essences and refined forms, this showcase furniture attributed to Leleu benefited from a remarkable design work.
