This well made mechanical gun carriage bottle trolley and pourer is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from England in approximately 1890 in a British Colonial style. The carriage is composed of machined metal which has been silver plated, and the bottle is cradled in the clips, giving the appearance of a cannon. The wheels are fully operational and moves quite well with the two large wheels on either side, and the castor type wheel on the back. The mechanism is deployed using the small knob at the rear of the carriage and raises and lowers the bottle as desired. The cast wheels are decorated with subtle stylized leaf sprigs between the spokes.
