Large slab built architectural pottery vase. Purchased from a White Plains, NY estate that had multiple pieces by this particular artist. Little biographical information was available other than the family was close personal friends with the potter. Signed and dated on the bottom, Inge 1959. Tactile volcanic glaze of grays and white with the brown of the earthenware body poking through. Good overall condition. Structurally sound and sturdy. Minor foot wear. Any distressed areas are purposeful and created by the artist. No visible breaks or hairline cracks.
