A cube form desktop box covered with patchwork copper by American artist and designer Paul Evans (1931-1987). The lidded box has a plastic insert box and was made as an ice box or a wine cooler. The iconic surface showcases the metal sheet patchwork with exposed nail heads and all sides were splashed with pewter overlay in a random fashion, contrasting the copper color background. A small but great example of the workmanship of Paul Evans Studio that brought the brutalist design through this series into America’s daily life.
