This British Colonial center table uses exotic wood veneers to create a spectacular spiral, fanning clockwise with contrasting exotic specimen woods extending from a central rosette fan compassed by an ebony band. The exotic spiral marquetry inlay top with an Anglo-Indian taste is attached to the base with brass thumb screws and double brass latch to tilt the table for display. The rosewood pedestal base has a striking carved turned baluster coming down to three carved scrolling cabriole legs with brass casters. This Specimen breakfast table has an exotic East Indies Style.
